Part-Time Worship Leader

Northgate Baptist Church, nestled in the beautiful downtown North Main Community of Greenville, SC, is seeking a candidate with a heart for the Lord who can lead our worship services and create an environment of worship that glorifies Jesus Christ.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Worship Leader works in partnership with the Senior Pastor, while leading a Worship Ministry and the congregation in a life of gratitude and praise to God. Regular participation in staff meetings with the pastor and other staff and occasional attendance at other meetings is expected as well as any other duties as assigned. The Worship Leader reports to the pastor. This is a part-time ministerial position.

Northgate Baptist Church’s vision statement for worship:  We envision worship as being dynamic encounters with the living God.  Since an experience with God is, by its very nature exciting and life changing, we seek to create an atmosphere through music, prayer and biblically-based preaching where everyone can respond to God’s presence with genuine worship and praise. We envision worship as being a reflection of our stewardship responsibility to our gracious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We envision, through the power of prayer, the development of an attitude of expectation when we gather to worship.  We envision worship as a celebration of the giving of our time, gifts, talents, finances and even our life’s breath for the glory of God.
