Youth

S.T.A.N.D. Youth

Mission: We envision the students to be those who would S.T.A.N.D. (Share Testimony Always, Never Deny) in the power of the Holy Spirit for Jesus Christ in all areas of influence, by equipping them to find their identity and joy solely in in HIM, and encouraging them to grow in their knowledge of and love for HIM through the faithful practice of the spiritual disciplines, all for the glory and honor of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Who We Are:

S.T.A.N.D. is the youth group of Northgate Baptist Church: a fun-loving, bible-believing, community-serving, Christ-proclaiming group of active teens who are maturing in their faith and glorifying God in their homes, at their schools, and among their friends. Visit S.T.A.N.D.’s Facebook page to learn more about what we’re doing each week!

When We Meet:

Sunday Morning 9:30-10:30

  • High-schoolers meet together in room 212 for fellowship, prayer, and bible study that focuses on life issues from a Christian perspective.
  • 7th-8th grade students meet in room 216 for prayer and a biblical lesson that addresses the unique challenges of middle-school.

Wednesday Evening – 6:30-7:30
On Wednesday nights STAND meets together in room 213 for our large group time. We play games, worship together, and pray. There is a biblical and applicable message; the content may vary, but every message seeks to drive us to the Cross and find the grace and love of God through Jesus.

Released Time

Northgate is an approved host church for Released Time Christian Education, which takes place during the student’s regularly scheduled lunch time. Students meet one day per week beginning the second full week in September and ending in March. Pleaser refer to the Christian Learning Centers of Greenville’s website for more information about the Released Time Program.

Release Form

Here at Northgate the safety and well being of our students is a top priority.  In light of this we ask that all parents or guardians fill out a short “Medical, Risk, and Release Form” for all students before participating in any S.T.A.N.D. Youth Ministry special events.

We ask that a form be filled out for each individual student and after being filled out the student will be covered for all events for the remainder of the calendar year.  You can follow the link above to complete the form or fill out a hard copy in the church office.

If you have any questions feel free to email Barry Agnew or give us a call in the church office at (864)-242-3805.
